I was a bit leary of this port of call on the cruise... you know Guatemala has this reputation for revolution... LOL But this turned out to be one of the best tours we went on. The people who run the Macadamia Farm were originally from the U.S. so there was no language problem. The grounds of the Farm were lush and beautiful. Everything there is done using no electricity - just manpower. They served us a lovely lunch of macadamia nut pancakes, local fruit, and wonderful organic tea. We also saw a facial given using macadamia nut products. Facinating, just facinating.
That's just gorgeous. Clouds hugging mountains - does it get any better??
ReplyDeleteIsn't it amazing how something as dangerous as a volcano can look so beautiful and lush?
ReplyDeleteI never would have guessed you could do so much with macadamia nuts. A facial!
ReplyDeletethose clouds are huge!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous pic!It seems that we can almost touch those puffy clouds!
ReplyDeleteThe clouds sure accent the peak!
ReplyDeleteMacadamia nuts - how I love them! But they, in turn, seem to love my thighs. A lot. LOL!

Many many years ago when Macadamia nuts weren't on every supermarket shelf and they were trying to drum up interest in this "exotic" nut, there was a radio commercial. The voice sounded blond and at least a double D. The tag line: "Try Macadamia - The Big Blond ectasy pill"
ReplyDeleteOkay, this picture is phenomenal. Very nicely shot! You had me at macadamia nut pancakes...*LOL*!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for playing along,
